Tidewater Hospice is a joint venture combining the resources of South Carolina's leading experts in hospice care. Each member of our administrative team was identified and selected based upon their contributions toward end-of-life care and the unique insights they would bring to our group.
Our Hospice program is certified by Medicare and Medicaid, and is licensed by the State of South Carolina. We are members of The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Our Medical Director is a member of the American Medical Directors Association and is a Certified Medical Director, as well as being board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Geriatrics, and Internal Medicine.
Our teams work with our patients, their families, and their physicians to develop the best care plan possible for each individual based upon your wishes, needs, and beliefs. Our providers are available at any time to discuss the latest approaches to pain management and symptom control and to help you determine if hospice can benegit your family.
Educational visits can be provided at any time, in your home, free of charge.
Tidewater Hospice is known for the love, compassion, dignity, and medical expertise we practice. Our staff and volunteers understand that people don't have to live in pain, that goodbyes are important, that laughter is good medicine, and that sometimes what's most needed is to hold someone's hand.
Our commitment is to help everyone with the final act of living well, wherever that may be.
